Congratulations to Ashlyn Pitlick and Kate Mullett for being chosen as this week’s (Sept. 27-Oct. 1, 2021`) Pierre TF Riggs High School Fine Arts Performers of the Week!
Ashlynn is a sophomore and sings Alto in choir and Kate is a Junior and also sings alto in choir.

Kate and Ashlyn have really put in a lot of time and effort in the last week and a half to prepare for a Regional Honors Choir taking place in Chicago in February of 2022. The audition process consists of singing a scale and two excerpts, all a cappella. They were working really hard on a Latin excerpt that was given to them late because the music took a long time to ship. After furiously learning the difficult part in the Latin song, they found out (as did Mr. Bauck) that the powers that be switched songs. In two days, they had to learn another brand new excerpt to complete their audition. The time they put in in the last week shows their passion and their determination to make it into a prestigious honor choir. Congratulations!
