It’s a Dirty Job, but someone’s got to do it! The Crazy Horse Memorial® hosted Mike Rowe and the entire Dirty Jobs production team back in June of 2021, with the episode featuring the Memorial airing Sunday, January 23 at 8 PM ET/PT on Discovery and streaming on discovery+.
The popular franchise, which first aired on Discovery from 2005 to 2013 and rebooted as a limited series (DIRTY JOBS: ROW’D TRIP), will show Mike back in action as he showcases the unsung heroes of this country.
When asked to comment on the return of this iconic series, Mike quoted The Godfather, “Just when I thought I was out,” he joked, “they pulled me back in! Actually, I’ve been flattered over the last year by hundreds of letters from loyal fans, urging me to reboot the series, and I’m excited and honored to introduce the country to a new batch of hardworking Americans who aren’t afraid to get dirty. Also, I can’t think of a better way to kick off the new year.”
Mr. Rowe and his entire production crew teamed up with the Crazy Horse Memorial carving team for two days of hard, dangerous work on the upper arm and face of the Mountain, learning the ins and outs, dos and don’ts behind creating what will be, when finished, the largest mountain carving in the world.
