FORT MYERS, FL – Ryan Jeffers hit his first spring home run Thursday in the Minnesota Twins’ 4-3 spring training loss to the Boston Red Sox at JetBlue Park.
Jeffers connected off Boston starter Michael Wacha for a two-run homer that put the Twins (5-9) ahead 3-2 in the fourth inning. Luis Arraez, who is hitting .391 this spring, drove in the other Minnesota run with a third-inning single.
Dylan Bundy started for the Twins and struck out five in four innings, allowing two runs, both on solo home runs, and three hits.
Minnesota will play Atlanta Friday at Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers.
