Firefighters spend about three hours at hay bale fire north of Pierre

Some hay bales burned but nothing else was harmed in a fire around 7 o’clock this morning (July 11, 2022) north of Pierre.

Pierre Rural Fire Department Chief Doug Hinkle says they were in the Peoria Flats area.

Hinkle says they were on scene for about three hours.
