The Capital Area United Way in Pierre and Fort Pierre recently added five new board members and two student board members.
Amy Dalton comes from First Dakota National Bank. Lance Bertram currently works at Max Strat. Kim Malsam-Rysdon joins the board from Avera. All will serve three-year terms. New student board members include Morgan Johnson and Isabelle Weller, both attending T.F. Riggs High School. They will serve their terms through their high school graduation.
Holly Wade, Executive Director, said “We have so much diversity in strengths and talents among our board. Adding these energetic individuals to the mix will be a big asset to our organization.”
When asked why she joined the CAUW board, Amy Dalton stated “I wanted to be part of something that supports my community and those who live here. United Way gives me the chance to be part of something bigger than myself while working side by side with some fantastic leaders from our area. It is a collaboration of support, humanity, and a commitment to caring for others that really makes the difference and allows us to Do Good and Live United.”
A few board members will end their terms in 2023. For anyone interested in joining the Capital Area United Way Board, an application is available at https://capareaunitedway.org/becomeaboardmember/boardmemberapplication/.
