Pierre Governor senior basketball players Remington Price and Jackson Edman, along with other Central South Dakota players, will be part of the 3-Class Shootout all-star basketball games on Saturday, March 25 at McCook Central Auditorium in Salem.
These games feature only seniors from all three classes. For both genders, the AA team will play the A team, with the winner to play the Class B team. There also will be a dunk contest.
Among Central South Dakota girls, Price, who ended her Governor career with 1,128 points and 201 three-pointers, will be on the AA squad. Tyra Gates of Miller will be on the Class A team. The Class B team will feature Jones County’s Jadyn Jensen and Gregory’s Jessy VanDerWerff.
Edman will be on the AA boys team. The Class A boys side will feature Blake Volmer of Winner. On the Class B boys team will be Joe Sayler of White River, Brian LaRoche Jr. and Gavin Thigh of Lower Brule, Cooper Long of Lyman and Sam Hand of Philip.
