Captain Bryan Walz retiring from Pierre Police Department today

A 25-year veteran of law enforcement in the Pierre and Fort Pierre area will spend his last day on the job today (June 8, 2023).

An open house for Police Captain Bryan Walz will be held from 3-4pm at Pierre City Hall.

City Commissioner Vona Johnson thanks Walz for his time protecting and serving.

Walz started as a Stanley County Sheriff’s Deputy in 1998 and moved to the Pierre Police Department in 1999.
