Hughes County has approved an agreement with the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Department to fix up a section of West Bend Road.
Highway Superintendent Trent Arbach says there’s a “slide area” on the road near the boat ramp.
Arbach told county commissioners this week (June 21, 2023) the rough stretch of road is several hundred feet long.
Arbach says once the county completes the work, they’ll submit expenses to GFP, who will then reimburse Hughes County for it’s half of the work.
