The City of Pierre Recreation Department will hold its first Movies in the Park event tonight (July 27, 2023) at the Steamboat Park Amphitheater.
“Puss in Boots” will be shown at approximately 9pm.
Recreation Superintendent Torry Zeller says they try to start the movies at dusk. He says they project them onto a giant screen on the amphitheater stage and the picture is much easier to see when the sun goes down.
Zeller encourages people to bring snacks and chairs or blankets to sit on. He says all showings are weather dependent, family friendly and free of charge.
