If you’ve ever thought about a career in some aspect of law enforcement, you can find out more information during a meet and greet event today (Aug. 8, 2023) in Pierre.
South Dakota Department of Corrections Secretary Kellie Wasko says members of local town, county and state agencies will be at Dakotamart in Pierre from 11am-2pm.
Wasko says her agency has a variety of career options available.
If you have no experience, Wasko says the DOC offers training.
Wasko says during today’s Pierre Public Safety Team Meet and Greet, people will have the opportunity to visit with representatives from the law enforcement agencies, apply for a job and have a free lunch.
