The Rolling Stones announced a 16-date North American tour in support of their new album “Hackney Diamonds”. And they did something kind of brilliant:
They effectively prevented all of us smart-asses from being able to joke about the tour being sponsored by the AARP . . . because they literally got the AARP to sponsor the tour. (!!!)
Tickets go on sale on Friday, December 1st, but if you’re an AARP member, you get access two days early.
The tour kicks off April 28th in Houston, and wraps up July 17th in Santa Clara, California.
For the record, Mick Jagger is 80 . . . Keith Richards turns 80 on December 18th . . . and Ronnie Wood is the baby, at 76.
