FORT PIERRE – New Salem-Almont edged Sully Buttes to win the girls championship Saturday at the Stanley County Wrestling Invitational at Parkview Auditorium.
New Salem-Almont scored 49 points, ahead of Sully Buttes’ 44.
Mobridge-Pollock scored 18 points and tied for third with Lemmon/McIntosh. Ipswich/Bowdle was fifth with 16 points. Stanley County scored eight points for seventh.
Timber Hanson gave Stanley County a weight-class win at 107, finishing ahead of teammate Keaton Keil.
Cateri Yellow Hawk of Sully Buttes won at 126 pounds. Jasmin Perez of Mobridge-Pollock won at 132 pounds.
