Hughes County has hired a new Emergency Management Director.
County Manager Lori Jacobson updated county commissioners about Troy Blevins during their meeting this week (Dec. 4, 2023).
Previous emergency managers Cathy Strudle and Rob Fines– who is now a Hughes County Commissioner– also served as the Emergency Management Director for Stanley County. The Stanley County commissioners have not yet decided if they will try to arrange something with Blevins or if they’ll hire their own person.
