District and state FFA officers come together in Pierre for leadership training and networking with legislators

You may see a lot of blue corduroy jackets around the state Capitol in Pierre today (Jan. 17, 2024) and tomorrow as district FFA officers from around South Dakota come together for leadership training and networking with legislators.

State FFA Treasurer Gretta Larson from Lake Preston says members participate in a variety of activities to hone their leadership skills.

Larson says the six state FFA officers help facilitate the sessions.

Larson says networking with legislators and other FFA members is an important part of the leadership training.

Larson says approximately 60 district FFA officers are taking part in this year’s leadership training activities and the Legislative Breakfast.
