Former South Dakota State University men’s basketball coach Scott Nagy is on the move again. After eight seasons at Wright State following his 21- year tenure at SDSU, Nagy was named head coach at Southern Illinois of the Missouri Valley Conference. He won 595 games as the Jackrabbits Head Coach– including transitioning SDSU from Division II to Division I– where he guided SDSU to 3 Summit League titles and NCAA Tournament appearances. In his 8 seasons at Wright State, he guided the Tigers to 167 victories, two NCAA tournaments and one NIT appearance. Nagy’s top assistant, SDSU alum Clint Sargent, has been promoted to succeed Nagy as head coach at Wright State.
