Beginning Saturday (Feb. 1, 2025), the weekend hours of operation for Rawlins Municipal Library in Pierre will be different.
Director Abby Edwardson says the library will still be open for 60 hours each week.
Audio PlayerEdwardson says Rawlins Library offers more than 125,000 books, e-books, digital magazines and other research and entertainment items. She says library cards are free for those who live in Pierre, Fort Pierre, Hughes County or Stanley County. Patrons residing outside of those areas pay $15 per year for a family card.
To obtain a card, come to Rawlins Library with proof of residency and a photo ID, then fill out a short application. A parent or legal guardian must authorize the application for a minor.
