Scott named Stanley County School District Teacher of the Year

Mrs. Maria Scott has been selected as the 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year for the Stanley County School District.

During the Spring Elementary Concert held earlier this month (May 5, 2025), Scott was recognized for her unwavering dedication, innovative teaching methods and significant impact on her students. Scott is a veteran educator known for her dynamic classroom environment and student-centered approach.

Superintendent Dan Baldwin said Scott’s passion for education, commitment to her students, and dedication to excellence truly embody the spirit of the award. Her ability to foster creativity, critical thinking and a love for learning has made a lasting impact on generations of students.
