The Govs fell to the Harrisburg Tigers yesterday afternoon on the road in the first round of the SoDak 16, ending their 2025 season. The Govs travelled to Harrisburg knowing they were facing off with one of the top teams in the state, and were familiar with Harrisburg after the Tigers beat them to close out the regular season. The final score of yesterdays game was 12-2, and the Govs finished their season with a 4-17 record. The two runs from the Govs came off the bat of Elly Broers and Alley Keyes, but the high-powered Tiger offense would prove to be too much for the Governors to overcome. However, almost all involved with Govs softball feel that this program is continuing to build and is headed in the right direction. Harrisburg improves to 17-2 on the season and looks ahead to the O’Gorman Lady Knights.
