A 52-year old Brookings man is charged with third-degree burglary, aggravated grand theft and intentional damage to property following a reported break-in at jewelry store.
Brookings police responded to a burglary alarm at the Riddle’s Jewelry on March 3, 2026, around 12:30 a.m. and found the glass entrance had been broken. Police say their investigation revealed several diamond rings had been stolen, with an estimated value of more than $78 thousand.
On May 29, police reported arresting Larry Black of Brookings. Police also say they recovered all of the stolen diamond rings.
