The Oahe Zap got back into form Wednesday night with a dominant 13-1 victory over the Capital City Aviators at Hyde Stadium. This marks the fourth victory in this early spread of the summer for the Zap, and it was a familiar cast that helped boost them to the victory.
The dagger in this game came from Ty Farwell who launched a grand slam in the fifth inning to his favorite spot of the ballpark, the parking lot in right field. Before that, returner Kaden Bazansky got the Zap on the board with a double that drove in two. Later that inning, Farwell would drive in a run on a fielders choice.
Shortstop turned starter, Cy Taylor, only gave up two hits in his outing going five innings and allowing just one run. Eli Vaughn came in relief and threw two innings of no-run baseball to protect the Zap lead.
Tonight, the Zap and Aviators will clash again on one of the biggest theme-nights of the season for the Zap, Wildcat Night. It will be a celebration of Pierreās Special Olympics athletic team, and there will be plenty of athletes and fundraising opportunities at Hyde Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 PM CT, coverage can be found on River 92.7 and on DRGnews.com/River.
