(Pierre, SD) – The Pierre police department reports that shortly after 5 a.m. Tuesday, October 27th officers on patrol observed a vehicle alarm sounding in the 2000 block of East Park Street.
Upon making contact with the vehicle owner, officers learned that 34-year-old Aaron Carda of Pierre, was reportedly in possession of a key fob for the vehicle and had been continuously setting off the alarm while repeatedly trespassing on the property.
Officers initially silenced the alarm; however, while remaining in the area, the alarm was activated again.
Officers located Carda nearby and recovered the key fob from his vehicle with consent. Following the investigation, Carda was arrested for stalking and transported to the Hughes County Jail.
