A 25-year-old Pierre man faces charges after law enforcement officers were called to a domestic situation last night (Sun. at 10:15pm).
Information from the Pierre Police Department says officers were called to the 1300 Block of Edgewater Drive where they learned Seth Stadel had strangled a person he is having a relationship with. Another person present attempted to intervene. When they did, Stadel began to strangle that person as well. Stadel had fled the scene before officers arrived. When he did, he struck another vehicle in the parking lot causing damage.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol located Stadel and upon investigation, arrested him for Driving Under the Influence.
Stadel was taken into custody and is also charged with Aggravated Assault-Domestic Violence, Aggravated Assault, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Failure to Report an Accident.
