Barrel racers from South Dakota place well at NFR

Barrel racers from South Dakota represented the state well during the 2023 National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

The women placed 1^st, 2^nd and 4^th in the 10^th round. They placed 1^st, 6^th and 10^th overall.

Among their highlights are:

Lisa Lockhart won the entire event with an average score of 137.18 across the 10 rounds. She won the 3^rd round in 13.51 seconds and the 10^th round in 13.54 seconds.

Jessica Routier broke the $1,000,000 earnings mark. She placed 6^th overall with an average of 142.76 in the 10 rounds.

Summer Kosel finished 10^th overall with an average of 152.66 in the 10 rounds of competition. She won the 5^th round with a time of 13.42 seconds.
