Minnesota Vikings OLB Danielle Hunter and LS Andrew DePaola have been selected by players, fans and coaches to the 2024 NFL Pro Bowl Games. Both Hunter and DePaola were named starters.
Additionally, six Vikings were tabbed as alternates for the 2024 NFL Pro Bowl Games: FB C.J. Ham (first), TE T.J. Hockenson (first), S Josh Metellus (second), C Garrett Bradbury (third), T Christian Darrisaw (fourth) and S Harrison Smith (fourth).
Danielle Hunter will make his fourth career Pro Bowl appearance and first as a starter, previously being selected in 2018, 2019 and 2022. Hunter, who has started each of the Vikings 16 games this season, is tied for the NFL lead in tackles for loss, recording 21 through Week 17 (Maxx Crosby). He is fifth in the league in sacks with 15.5, which marked a single-season career high, and his four forced fumbles are tied for the fifth-most league wide.
The Katy, Texas native is the fourth player since 2015 to record at least 15.0 sacks, 20 tackles for loss and 60 combined tackles in a season, achieving the feat in 14 games, joining 2021 Defensive Player of the Year T.J. Watt, 2015 Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt and 2015 First-Team All-Pro Khalil Mack.
Andrew DePaola earned his second career Pro Bowl nod, as he became the first long snapper in franchise history to be selected to the Pro Bowl last season. A 2022 First-Team All-Pro honoree, DePaola has handled long snapping duties in all 16 games played this season. Since entering the league in 2014, the Parkton, Md., native has played in 122 games, tallied 19 tackles and recovered a fumble. He helped RB Ty Chandler execute two successful fake punts during the 2023 season, including Chandler’s 31-yard run on a fake punt at Denver in Week 11, the fourth-longest fake punt in franchise history.
DePaola is the first long snapper to earn back-to-back Pro Bowl honors since Rams LS Jake McQuaide in 2016 and 2017.
