The man who put Pierre and Fort Pierre on the Boys Varsity Hockey Map in South Dakota will be inducted into the South Dakota Amateur Hockey Hall of Fame, along with a pair of his players.
Rob Kittay coached the Varsity boys hockey team, now called the Oahe Capitals, from it’s inception including the first and only State High School hockey championship. Also to be inducted into the State Amateur Hockey Hall of Fame are two players from that State Championship team, Cash Anderson and Cody Bishop.
Joining Kittay in the Coaching Class of 2024 is Adam Sullivan.
Joining Anderson and Bishop in the Player category are Jacoby Anderson, Rob McClemans, Jesse Rounds and Abby (Taffe) Trettin.
Jim Becker, Dave Nelson and Dave Spencer are being inducted in the Builder Category and Doug Sorenson in the Officials Category.
The Induction Ceremony will be held Friday, April 12, 2024, at 7pm at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.
