MOBRIDGE, S.D — The Mobridge-Pollock track and field teams captured second-place finishes at the Mobridge-Pollock Early Bird on Thursday.
On the boys side, Standing Rock, North Dakota won the team title. Mobridge-Pollock and Timber Lake finished second and third, respectively.
On the girls side, Shiloh Christian, North Dakota, won the team title with 133 points. Mobridge-Pollock (114) and Lemmon (92) placed second and third, respectively.
Mobridge-Pollock’s Heidi Olson was a double winner in the 1,600-meter run (5:33.46) and 3,200-meter run (12:01.72). On the boys side, Mobridge-Pollock’s Simon Fried was a double winner in the long jump (20-3) and 300-meter hurdles (:41.89).
The Stanley County High School quartet of Spencer Sargent, Brendon Bothwell, Landon Bame and Tyson Peterson won the 1600 meter relay in 3:49.17.
