MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – Continuing their shared focus on enhancing inclusivity in sports, the Minnesota Twins and UnitedHealthcare are partnering to bring a big-league experience to Special Olympics Minnesota with the “Sportsmanship Showdown” softball game this Thursday, August 22 at Armstrong High School in Plymouth, MN. The game, which begins at 6:00 p.m. CT, will feature all the elements of a Twins home game at Target Field.

- Representatives from the Minnesota Twins, UnitedHealthcare and Special Olympics Minnesota
WHAT: The Minnesota Twins and UnitedHealthcare are bringing the Target Field experience to Special Olympics Minnesota for the “Sportsmanship Showdown”! This softball game will feature Special Olympics Minnesota athletes ranging from ages 18 to 68 participating in a major league environment. Twins Hall of Famer and team legend Justin Morneau will be on hand to throw out the ceremonial first pitch, while the game will feature a videoboard complete with graphics, highlights and replays; introductions by Twins public address announcer Adam Abrams and music from organist Sue Nelson; a special appearance by Twins mascot T.C.; and custom Twins jerseys for all participants.
