Stanley County usually dawns the purple and gold when they host a home match in Fort Pierre, but in Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Buffaloes hosted a ‘pink-out’ night and got to break out the new pink home jerseys. The Lady Buffaloes dominated from start to finish beating an upstart Colome Cowgirls team 3-0 who fought tough throughout. Colome rallied in game 3 to close a 5-point deficit to an even tie, but the Baumann Lumber Player of the Game Raegen Taylor re-created the cushion for Stanley County with some great serves that included a couple aces. Captain Brylee Kafka also had a great match at the net delivering a couple commanding kills and the teams libero Reese Hand was also dialed from the back line.

We also had a piece of history last night as the Colome Cowgirls libero Westlie Cahoy earned her 1,000th dig of her career. It was a special moment for the Cowgirls and their teammate as they stopped the match to honor Cahoy and her feat. Cahoy got a banner celebrating the 1,000th dig, got a team photo and got to keep the ball that earned her the history.
