Department of Corrections issues alert about high-risk offender from Hughes County being released to Winner

A 35 year old man who served time in prison for a Sexual Contact Without Consent charge out of Hughes County has been released.

According to the South Dakota Department of Corrections, Glenford Old Lodge is considered a high risk to reoffend. After serving the entirety of his sentence, Old Lodge was released Thursday (May 15, 2025) to go live in Winner. Because he served the entirety of his sentence, Old Lodge will not be under supervision.

Corrections Secretary Kellie Wasko says she issued the high risk to reoffend alert based on Old Lodge’s criminal history involving sex offenses and institutional assessments that indicate he has a high risk of reoffending.

Old Lodge is Native American, 5-feet-10-inches tall, and weighs approximately 182 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

This DOC notification is in addition to the letters currently sent to law enforcement and notices provided to the Division of Criminal Investigation each month.

Since 2011, the Department of Corrections has issued a total of 17 public notices of pending high-risk offender releases.
