June 26, 2025:
Pierre will begin placing an asphalt patch on part of N. Harrison Avenue on Thursday (June 26, 2025).
The work will take place on N. Harrison between Lilac Drive and N. Taylor Avenue. To accommodate the work, Harrison Ave. will be closed from 8am to 5pm on Thursday. Lilac Dr. and Taylor Ave. will remain open and will not be affected by the closure.
Pierre maintains more than 80 miles of streets. During this construction season, the city is repairing, rebuilding, or otherwise improving about 180 blocks of streets.
June 10, 2025:
Pierre city utilities staff has fixed a water main leak on Harrison Avenue.
The leak impacted city water customers on Harrison Avenue between Tyler Avenue and Taylor Avenue and those located along Sunset Drive and Hilltop Drive.
Water service was restored last night (June 9, 2025) once the repair was complete.
June 9, 2025:
The City of Pierre is responding to a water main leak on Harrison Avenue.
