A 58-year-old man from Pierre was the person who died in a one-vehicle crash 22 miles west of White River Wednesday morning.
Information from the South Dakota Highway Patrol says Lorenzo Roaneagle was driving a 2007 Chevy Impala eastbound on South Dakota Highway 44 around midnight when the vehicle left the roadway, flipped over several times and eventually caught fire.
The Roaneagle was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only person involved.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
