Some people who substitute in the Pierre School District will see a little bigger paycheck in the 2025-26 school year.
Business manager Travis Dovre says while there’s no recommended increase in the daily rate for classroom substitutes in this proposed budget, traditionally there has been increases consistent with salary policy for some of the hourly positions.
Dovre says substitute nurses will see the largest pay increase.
The school board unanimously approved the proposed increases.
