Weather permitting, Norbeck Drive in Pierre will close Thursday (July 24, 2025) for the installation of a new water main. The work is expected to take approximately three weeks to complete.
During this time, there will be limited access to the roadway during working hours. Street parking will not be permitted, and vehicles parked on the street could be towed. No formal detour routes will be established, so residents and visitors are encouraged to use nearby streets and secure alternative parking spaces in advance. Driveway access will be limited; however, city crews will maintain small access gaps, where possible.
This project is part of the City of Pierre’s broader effort to improve more than 100 blocks of street surface during the 2025 construction season.
