Fort Pierre beginning chip sealing project Wednesday morning; No parking will be allowed on affected blocks of street

Chip seal work will begin on about 20 blocks of street in Fort Pierre Wednesday (Aug. 6, 2025) at 8am CT.

The work is expected to take three days and no parking will be allowed on the sections of street being chip sealed throughout the duration of the work.

Fort Pierre streets being chip sealed this week are:

• 3rd Street North– 100 block

• 3rd Street South– 100 block

• 5th Street North– 100 block

• 5th Street South– 100 block

• 4th Street South– 100-200 and 400 block

• Cedar Avenue– 400-900 block and 2 blocks East

• Deadwood Street– 100-400 block

• Deadwood Street– 500 block
