MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins invite fans to enjoy this coming weekend at Target Field, as the club hosts the Detroit Tigers for a four-game series from August 14-17 and welcomes special guests to the ballpark throughout. Tickets to all four games are available at twins.com, by calling 612-33-TWINS or 1-800-33-TWINS, or in-person at the Target Field Ticket Office.
The Twins-Tigers four-game series from August 14-17 is set to feature the following:
- Thursday, August 14: Series begins with a 6:40 p.m. first pitch.
- Friday, August 15: 7:10 p.m. game, followed by multi-platinum country star Dustin Lynch performing a postgame concert presented by TickPick (concert is free to anyone holding a ticket to that night’s game; a special ticket package that also includes a Twins-branded denim shirt is available at twins.com/DustinLynch).
- Saturday, August 16: Before the 6:15 p.m. game, enjoy 612 Saturday presented by Carbliss; a special celebration honoring the 60th anniversary of the 1965 American League Champion Twins, Minnesota’s first pennant winners – including appearances from Twins Hall of Famers Jim Kaat, Tony Oliva and Jim Perry; and a fan photo opportunity with 2025 Twins Hall of Fame electee Corey Koskie.
- Sunday, August 17: Prior to the 1:10 p.m. CT series finale, the Twins will induct Corey Koskie into the Twins Hall of Fame. Twenty-four Twins Hall of Famers are scheduled to be on hand to celebrate the former third baseman, who helped lead Minnesota to three-straight American League Central Division titles (2002-04). Sunday is also Kids Day presented by Target.

- Corey Koskie Fan Photo Opportunity: Fans can have their photo taken with 2025 Twins Hall of Fame electee Corey Koskie from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m. in Truly On Deck.
- Celebrating Minnesota’s First Pennant Winners: The Twins will honor their 1965 American League Champions, a club that won Minnesota’s first pennant before falling to the Los Angeles Dodgers in an epic seven-game World Series. Led by National Baseball and Twins Hall of Famers Harmon Killebrew, Tony Oliva and Jim Kaat; Twins Hall of Famers Bob Allison, Earl Battey, Zoilo Versalles, Jim Perry and Camilo Pascual; and the legendary Jim “Mudcat” Grant, the 1965 Twins went 102-60, setting the Minnesota record for most wins in a season.
- Gate Giveaway – Replica Game 1 Tickets: The first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive a commemorative, replica ticket from Game 1 of the 1965 World Series at Metropolitan Stadium – the first World Series game ever played in Minnesota. The Twins beat Los Angeles 8-2, as 1965 American League Most Valuable Player Zoilo Versalles hit a three-run home run off the Dodgers’ Don Drysdale and Mudcat Granttossed a complete game.
- Pregame Ceremony: The Twins will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the first American League pennant in Minnesota history with a brief on-field ceremony prior to the game. The 1965 Twins will be represented by National Baseball and Twins Hall of Famers Jim Kaat and Tony Oliva, Twins Hall of Famers Jim Perry and Jim Rantz, and former pitcher Dick Stigman, who won four regular season games and saved four others that season.
- An Oliva Family National Anthem: The Star-Spangled Banner will be performed by Ric and Anita Oliva, two of Tony and Gordette Oliva’sfour children.
- “Cool of the Evening” Book Signings: Beginning at 4:00 p.m. until first pitch (or book supplies last), author Jim Thielman will be in Truly On Deck signing his book, “Cool of the Evening: The 1965 Minnesota Twins.” A limited number of copies will be available for purchase.
- 1965 Twins Memorabilia: Displays featuring select 1965 Minnesota Twins memorabilia will be viewable to fans outside of Truly On Deck.
Sunday, August 17 vs. Detroit Tigers (1:10 p.m.; gates open at 11:00 a.m.)
- Corey Koskie Twins Hall of Fame Induction: Corey Koskie, a key part of the Twins’ back-to-back-to-back American League Central Division championship clubs from 2002-04, one of just six players in the Minnesota era with at least 100 RBI and 100 runs scored in the same season (103 RBI and 100 runs in 2001), and Minnesota’s all-time leader for career batting average (.280) and fielding percentage (.966) by a third baseman (minimum 425 games), will become the 41st member of the Twins Hall of Fame.
- Gate Giveaway – Twins Hall of Fame Pin: The first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a Twins Hall of Fame pin featuring Corey Koskie.
- Plaque Unveiling: Corey Koskie will join fans on Target Plaza at 11:15 a.m. as his Twins Hall of Fame plaque is officially unveiled.
- Induction Ceremony: Corey Koskie will be formally inducted into the Twins Hall of Fame during special pregame ceremonies, celebrated on the field by family, friends and teammates. Twenty-four Twins Hall of Famers – nearly all living members – are expected to be in attendance, including Rick Aguilera, Jerry Bell, Bert Blyleven, Rod Carew, Michael Cuddyer, Gary Gaetti, Greg Gagne, Ron Gardenhire, Dan Gladden, John Gordon, Eddie Guardado, Torii Hunter, Jim Kaat, Tom Kelly, Andy MacPhail, Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau, Joe Nathan, Tony Oliva, Jim Perry, Brad Radke, Jim Rantz and Terry Ryan. The induction ceremonies will be emceed by longtime Twins television voice and current club special assistant Dick Bremer.
- Kids Day presented by Target: Every Sunday home game at Target Field is Kids Day presented by Target!
