Community Blood Bank, Chamberlain High School and St. Joseph’s Indian School are hosting community blood drives today and tomorrow (Oct. 20-21, 2025) to assist with the fall blood supply at Sanford Chamberlain Medical Center.
The Student Council is hosting the blood drive at Chamberlain High School (1000 Sorenson Dr.) Monday from 9a.m. to 12:30p.m. and 2 to 4:30p.m..
St. Joseph’s Indian School will host a community blood drive at the school (1301 N. Main St.) Tuesday from 8 to 11a.m. and 12:30 to 3:30p.m., with donor registration located inside the Health and Wellness Center.
Donors can schedule a donation time by logging onto cbblifeblood.org, selecting “Donate Blood” and “Blood Drive Calendar,” then selecting October 20th or 21st. Donors can also call Community Blood Bank at 605-331-3222.
People interested in donating blood must be at least 16 years old (16 and 17 with parental consent), generally healthy and weigh at least 110 pounds. Please bring a photo ID. Walk-ins are welcome, though appointments are encouraged to reduce wait times. It’s also recommended that donors eat a good meal and be well hydrated before donating.

All those who donate blood will receive a $15 McDonald’s gift card as a thank you gift. Community Blood Bank is the sole blood provider to Sanford Chamberlain Medical Center.
