A 69 year old woman from Winner is charged with simple assault against a law enforcement officer after an incident early this morning (Oct. 22, 2025, at 12:30am) in Pierre.
Information from the Pierre Police Department says Patrol was dispatched to the Pierre Regional Airport because a person was trying to get into the closed airport terminal. Upon arrival, an Officer located 69-year-old Pamela Easson outside the terminal.
Easson advised that she was there because she had a flight in the morning. The Officer attempted to assist Easson in getting a ride to a hotel for her to spend the night since the airport was currently closed. Easson was uncooperative and threw a glass alcohol bottle at the Officer. The bottle missed, so there were no injuries.
Easson was arrested and taken to the Hughes County Jail, again charged with simple assault against a law enforcement officer.
