State prison offender serving time in Springfield for charges from Sully and Hughes Counties passes away

A men’s state prison inmate serving time out of Hughes and Sully Counties has died in custody.

44 year old Shane Osterkamp passed away Friday (Nov. 14, 2025) in a comfort care setting at the Mike Durfee State Prison in Springfield.
