Part of Humboldt Street in Pierre to be closed tomorrow for storm water improvements

Humboldt Street in Pierre between Hayes and Grant Avenues, will close to through traffic tomorrow (Wed.) morning.

The closure will allow the City to make storm water improvements in the area. It’s expected to reopen Sept. 2. Access will be maintained for local traffic only via Hayes Avenue. Through traffic should use an alternate route.

The City maintains 80 miles of streets. Each year, City staff assess the streets, utilities, sidewalks and curbs to prioritize street maintenance and reconstruction projects.
