Representatives from the South Dakota Department of Transportation, the City of Pierre and Morris, Inc., shared timelines, showed maps and answered questions about the schedule for the second year of reconstruction work on Euclid Avenue (S.D. Highway 1889, formerly U.S. Highways 14/83) in Pierre during an informational meeting Thursday (Feb. 19, 2026) night.
DOT Pierre Region Engineer Dean VanDeWiele said it’s their project, but they’re all working together.
VanDeWiele said construction work will occur in multiple places at the same time.
The overall completion date for the Euclid Avenue reconstruction project in Pierre is November 2026.
