FT. PIERRE, SD – Clinton Caldwell, 87, of Fort Pierre passed away on Tuesday, February 10th at home surrounded by his family. A celebration of life will be held for both Clinton and his wife Sharon at 1:30pm, Saturday, February 28 at Lutheran Memorial Church. With burial at a later date at Scotty Philip Cemetery.

Sharon Caldwell, 81, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 and her husband, Clinton Caldwell, 87, was granted his prayer to be with the love of his life/best friend/partner in crime on February 10, 2026.

Sharon was born May 8, 1942 to Ray and Eleanor (Wendling) Kilian. Clinton was born December 30, 1938 to Leslie and Helen (Pruess) Caldwell. Sharon and Clint met at Coast to Coast. They married on February 23, 1963 and had three children, Connie Dammann, Thad Caldwell and Tammie Peterson.

Sharon and Clint enjoyed working on the ranch, attending sporting events and concerts of their children and grandchildren. They taught their grandchildren to drive. Sharon would remind them that they needed to drive 5-10 under the speed limit. Clint would rest in the back seat and pretend he was sleeping, but not really, he was enjoying the moment. Sharon and Clint’s favorite times always included their grandkids, great-grandkids and children.

Sharon and Clint enjoyed time with their great-grandchildren rocking them to sleep, playing with puzzles, and watching them play.

They enjoyed antiquing, ranch rodeos, playing cards, school reunions, baseball games, visiting with family and friends, bus trips and just being with one another.
