Long-time Fit Feet

Clinical Director to Retire

Dr. Lorri Riley has been a part of Healthy Athletes since 2014.

During her tenure as our Fit Feet (Podiatry) Clinical Director, Dr. Riley has completed approximately 900 screenings, ensuring that athletes receive the podiatric care they need to participate comfortably and confidently.

Her interest in becoming a Clinical Director was born from her friendship with Micah Albonico, a Special Olympics athlete from Spearfish.

When asked if she had an impactful experience to share, Dr. Riley stated, “Having the Athletes come back year after year and remembering me… and then getting a thumbs up or a hug with a thank you for helping them. Those moments will always stay with me.”

Thank you, Dr. Riley, for giving us your valuable time and expertise over the years. You are appreciated and will be missed!

Special Olympics USA Games Fan Bus Application

Applications are open to join us on the fan bus heading to the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games in Minnesota in June!

The fan bus will make a one-day trip to Minneapolis on Monday, June 22, 2026.

Fan Bus Schedule:

5:30 AM – Arrive at the Unify Center in Sioux Falls (light breakfast provided)
6:00 AM – Bus Departs
10:30 AM – Arrive in Minneapolis (sack lunch provided on the road)
5:00 PM – Pizza on the Bus/Load
6:00 PM – Depart Minneapolis
11:00 PM – Arrive back in Sioux Falls

The raffle for the Special Olympics USA Games X Team South Dakota custom Nike shoes, designed by Michael Middlen (@kicks_n_canvas), is now OPEN!

All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly back to Team South Dakota, made up of 65 Special Olympics Athletes, Unified Partners, and coaches who will take part in the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games in Minnesota in June 2026.

One lucky winner will be able to take home this one-of-a-kind pair of shoes to keep and display them!
