Fort Pierre will temporarily close three streets on Friday (July 10, 2026) to apply slurry seal to help maintain the road surfaces.
The following roads will be worked on:
- West Main,
- Creager Court, and
- 7th Street.
Signs will be posted indicating no parking will be allowed on those streets until the work is complete.
Slurry seal is a cost-effective way to preserve streets by sealing small cracks, protecting the pavement from water damage, improving skid resistance and extending the life of existing roadways.
