BROOKINGS, S.D. – South Dakota 4-H, a program of South Dakota State University Extension, is seeking volunteers, industry supporters and 4-H members to serve on its statewide project committees.
These committees cover a range of interests from traditional animal projects and youth-in-action events to the shooting sports and outdoor education programs. By serving on a committee, individuals can develop technical and professional skills, strengthen community ties and build new relationships while supporting youth and the 4-H organization.
To sign-up, individuals will complete a brief questionnaire that includes their volunteer or 4-H membership status, committee preferences, prior experience, preferred term length and relevant project-area expertise.
To fill out an application, visit extension.sdstate.edu/events and search “committee”. Applications close Nov. 1, 2026.
