Charles Sisk, 89, of Pierre died on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Avera St. Mary’s in Pierre. Services will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, March 16th at Isburg Funeral Chapel in Pierre with a visitation one hour prior to the services.  Burial will follow at the G.A.R Cemetery in Miller, SD. For those unable to attend the services they will be live streamed at the top of this obituary page.

Charles was born on June 1, 1931 to Carl and Josephine (Koc) Sisk in Miller, SD.  He grew up and attended school in Miller and attended college at USD in Vermillion.  He served in the Army from 1953-1955 and after he served he moved to Pierre where he worked for the South Dakota Department of Health and Vital Records.

He loved genealogy, stamp collecting, hunting, fishing, and bird watching.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved nature.  He was a member of the American Legion Post #8, Audubon Society and the Archery Club.

Charles is survived by his brothers Frank of Colorado, Carl and his wife Sue of MN and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Clayton and Bob and sister Barbara.
