Snake takes out West Central Electric Coop’s Bad River substation early this morning

Around 500 West Central Electric Cooperative meters were without power for a little over an hour this morning (June 28) after a substation near Fort Pierre went down.

Manager of member services Jessie Tucker says a snake caused the outage at the Bad River substation.
