Hartmans win one of six Avera Foundation pink “Mow Down Cancer” mowers

Gary and Jeanie Hartman of Pierre are the winners of one of the Avera Foundation’s five “Mow Down Cancer” pink mowers.

The raffle raised more than $40,000 which will directly benefit cancer patients throughout Avera’s service area, including at the Avera Cancer Institute in Pierre.

Avera drew the winners of the six zero-turn, 55 inch, 22 horse power mowers Monday (July 19, 2021). The winners are:

• Avera St. Mary’s (Pierre): Gary and Jeanie Hartman – Pierre
• Avera St. Luke’s (Aberdeen): Kathryn and Keith Sprinkel – Aberdeen
• Avera McKennan (Sioux Falls): Diana and Howard Swier – Baltic, SD
• Avera Queen of Peace (Mitchell): Vicki and Dan Lehrman – Spencer, SD
• Avera Sacred Heart (Yankton): Chris and Stephanie Specht – Yankton
• Avera Marshall (Marshall, MN): Jessica and Judd Guida – Tyler, MN

DRG Media Group sports broadcaster Darren Boyle of Darren Boyle Sales in Fort Pierre was one of the six dealers donating pink mowers.
