There’s free live music this evening (July 26) at the Rawlins Municipal Library in Pierre.
Joey Leone and the Chop Shop Band will perform at 7pm. The free concert will feature popular songs by artists such as The Beatles, Elvis, The Rolling Stones, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Neil Diamond.
Attendees should bring chairs or blankets for seating, as the plan is for the concert to be held on the library’s lawn.
Leone has played with and toured alongside the likes of Etta James, Otis Rush, and Buddy Miles. Leone’s Chop Shop band has been featured on the mainstage at Sioux Falls JazzFest. Leone and his band served as the inspiration for a character in the Grand Theft Auto 3 video game.
