A Pierre resident has been charged with Aggravated Assault following a disagreement Saturday afternoon (Nov. 6, 2021) at a residence in the 1900 block of Kennedy Drive in Pierre.
Information from the Pierre Police Department says officers were notified of a possible assault and made contact with the victim and Ableza Oakie at the residence. During the investigation, officers learned Oakie had assaulted the victim by striking them with a large object located in the home, biting them, restricting the victim’s airway and preventing the victim from leaving.
Oakie, who was located on the scene and taken into custody, is also charged with False Imprisonment.
