Peterson encourages parents to talk to their kids about the COVID-19 vaccine.
Peterson says children will receive an amount that’s one-third the size of an adult dose and will also need a two-shot series three weeks apart. She says a parent or guardian must be present with the child for the vaccination and the required 15 minute observation period after the vaccination.
